Persona Analysis
Definition
Persona analysis involves creating fictional yet evidence-based profiles that represent different user/customer segments. Personas are built from qualitative and/or quantitative research and summarize needs, behaviors, goals, pain points, and context.
They help teams maintain a user-centered focus in product design, communication, and decision-making.
Benefits
- Improves empathy and understanding of real users
- Informs product features, UX/UI, marketing messages
- Helps prioritize decisions based on real user needs
- Facilitates alignment across teams (design, business, tech)
- Reduces risk of designing for “everyone” or vague assumptions
